After School

Bank Street offers rich and nurturing After-School and Extended Day Programs. Approximately one-third of our families use the After-School Program. Kids Club (ages 4/5s - 5/6s) and Our Place (ages 6/7s and up) are offered Monday through Thursday, 3:10 to 4:30 p.m., and Friday, 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. The Extended Day Program is offered Monday through Thursday, 4:30 to 6:00 p.m., and Friday, 2:30 to 6:00 p.m. Drop-In Service is available daily.

In addition, Special Activity Classes enable children to widen their experiences by learning new skills and developing their emerging talents. These classes foster individuality as well as an awareness of social connectedness. Classes offered include sports (basketball, soccer,  judo, and swimming), dance (hip hop, flamenco, tap), and theater (Adventures in Theater and Shakespeare). Also offered each year are cooking, computer instruction, and private music lessons.

The After-School Program is divided into two cycles: September through February, and February through June. Payments vary according to program. Vacation Camp is available during most school vacations, depending on volume of need.
