Please submit books as soon as they are published. Our deadline for receiving books to be considered for the current year is November 15. Books received after November 15 may be deferred to the next calendar year. We need only one copy of each book. No forms or supplementary material are necessary. We welcome all newly published books. We review every book that is sent to us, and we choose about 600 to list in The Best Children's Books of the Year. We nominate several books for each of our Awards and then narrow our choices to the finalist in each award category.
